Your inquiry is definitely in the minds of many scientists who are trying to obtain a good estimate for the number of galaxies in the universe. The methods used to achieve such number varies, and therefore, the results would vary, too. Also, as new and improved technology becomes available, astronomers can detect fainter objects that were not seen before. These objects invest that have come into view will in turn change the estimated number of galaxies.

There are 42,000 square degrees over the full sky, and 60×60 = 3600 spots as big as the Hubble Deep Field per square degree index options , so the total galaxies is about 3600 x 42,000 x 200 = 3.6 x 4.2 x 2 billion or about 40 billion.

It has been said that counting the stars in the Universe is like trying to count the number of sand grains on a beach on Earth. We might do that by measuring the surface area of the beach, and determining the average depth of the sand layer. If we count the number option strategy of grains in a small representative volume of sand, by multiplication we can estimate the number of grains on the whole beach.

Both factors make stars appear dimmer. Observations at visible
wavelengths are limited to a region of (more or less) 5000 light-years
radius about the Sun, with a few windows in the intervening dust
giving us glimpses of more distant areas (especially near the Galactic
center). Our map of the Galaxy gets correspondingly more sketchy with
distance. Guided somewhat by observations of other spiral galaxies, we
think that the overall run of star density with radius is fairly well
known. Getting a total stellar head count is more of a problem,
because the stars that we can see to the greatest distances are also
the rarest. Measurements of the relative numbers of stars with
different absolute brightness (known in the trade as the luminosity
function) shows that, for example, for every Sun-like star there are
about 200 faint red M dwarfs. These are so faint that the closest,
Proxima Centauri, despite being closer to the Sun than any other
(known) star, takes very large binoculars or a telescope to find.  So,
to get the total stellar population in the Milky Way, we must take the
number of luminous stars that we can see at large distances and assume
that we know how many fainter stars go along with them. Recent numbers
give about 400,000,000,000 (400 billion) stars, but a 50% error either
way is quite plausible. Much of the interest in "brown dwarfs" stems
from a similar issue---a huge number of brown dwarfs would not change
how bright the Galaxy appears (at visible wavelengths), but would
change its total mass quite substantially. Oddly enough, within a
particular region, we probably know the total mass and luminosity
rather more accurately than we do just how many stars are producing
that light (since the most common stars are by far the dimmest).

Where do you buy ringtones for your phone and phone games? Any suggestions?? My favorite game is probably Jeopardy, but I would love yo get a lot.

Check out these pictures I found of some big old puppies. Do you think they are cute, or do you feel sorry for them? I think they are just the cutest dogs in the world!

Do you know what makes a dog so fat like this? I’m sure it’s all in their diet. I guess anything will fatten up if you feed it too much. Then again, not moving around doesn’t help much either. My best guess is that these dog owners just fed them a ton of dog food and didn’t exercise them at all.

The jerks have been screwing me with an adjustable rate mortgage for years. the stupid thing keeps climbing and climbing. It’s gotten to the point that I can’t really afford my house!!! So I called them a few weeks ago and asked what I could do. My credit sort of sucks, so I was desperate. What did they tell me? Countrywide said they would help me out and send me some forms to apply for refinancing or a hardship deal. basically I could apply to get it refinanced with a lower rate. if they rejected that, they said they would give me a hardship deal to lower the rate and stop it from climbing.

So I mailed everything off. Today I got the answers. No to refinance! No to hardship loan! Wth??? So I called them. A woman at countrywide said they could not have ever promised to make any deals. I explained that I spoke to 2 bankers that promised the help. So this lady just denies it and hangs up on me!!!!

I’m screwed now! I’m desperate 2. So I looked for help. I found this dumb thing: Countrywide Finance No Help!!! So I looked for government help and found this: Housing.

I guess I will call some banks tomorrow. I’m SCREWED! Thanks Countrywide!!!

I’m debating this a lot right now. I have been reading all over the internet to figure out which phone is better. I guess they both have advantages and disadvantages, but I need to make a decision.  Here is a little bit that I found comparing the 2 phones:

Sidekick 2008- This is the new phone that T-Mobile offers. It’s a pda that can do almost anything. To see it’s features go here: new sidekick features.  The sidekick for all intents and purposes offers features most of Generation Y will pay for (or get their parents to pay for). The current line of sidekicks DOMINATE high schools, colleges and are steadily infiltrating middle schools. Even business professionals use them.

Have you heard about it yet? T-Mobile makes it. It seems to be a very nice phone, but I have a lot of learning to do, This thing is loaded with some super features. I’m going to have a blast trying to figure all of it out.

I was thinking about switching to att just to get a new iPhone. I’m glad I didn’t now. This side kick is really sweet!!! I can’t imagine needing a phone to do anything else.

Now I need to learn all of it and then get some programs for it. I looked all over like here: 3df sidekick and sidekick 3 programs and pop sci sidekick but I’m not sure yet.

maybe I just need to wait until I have it all figured out. Fun!!!
